- Must fit under boom
- Must row nicely

- Minimum capacity 3 adults with motor
- CG requirements that the 3 adults and gear must not exceed 30% of flat water capacity
- 12 inches of freeboard at full load (my criteria)
- Must float when swamped with 100 lb of buoyancy to spare
- Target weight of 65 lb. (did not meet this criteria on first boat, it is over 80 lb)
